What Our Users Say
Don't just take our word for it. Here's what our users have to say about our Android app.
"After a few weeks of use, I can feel my brain using dumb tricks to get questions right, none of which involve recognizing kanji that I didn't already know before I started using this app. Every session feels like nearly nonstop leeches, with the occasional new word every now and then. The app has one significant strength, and that's that it quizzes you on readings in the context of words. (I think that that, by itself, makes this app worth using.) Aside from that, it's just the Anki approach but better tailored to learning Japanese vocabulary. For best results, pair it with a book or app that'll actually help you get acquainted with unfamiliar kanji, eg. the Kodansha Kanji Learner's course or something along those lines. (I'd recommend Wanikani with the provision that you use this app for vocabulary instead, but the order in which kanji are presented don't line up at all. It's a shame that stubborn app design is such a drag on the world of app-based Japanese study.)"
